Grow your career as a Regulatory Data Analyst with an innovative global bank in Getzville, NY. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite per week.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of Data Analysis and Regulatory experience.

  • Detailed knowledge and expertise of Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) processes, systems and solutions.

  • Experience using codes for statistical modeling of large data sets.

  • Experience in segmentation, modeling, and optimization.

  • Proven track record in terms of evaluating process performance across key metrics and envisioning ways to reengineer the process to create significant improvement across all key variables.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of data analysis.

  • Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting need.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).

  • Extensive experience using Excel for data analysis.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.

  • Contribute to data analytics standards around which others will operate. Apply in-depth understanding of how data analytics collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function.

  • Resolve occasionally complex and highly variable issues. Produce detailed analysis of issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/ taken.

  • Employ developed communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas.

  • Responsible for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of data science projects along with some short-term and long-term planning.

  • Integrate subject matter and industry expertise within NFRR.

  • Manage multiple work streams across geographies for Data & Regulatory Operations.

  • Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, coordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.

  • Apply knowledge of NFRR and Data concepts and procedures to identify process efficiency opportunities.

  • Identify data patterns & trends, and provide insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment, etc.

  • Recommend actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies.

  • Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities.
