County of Adams Caseworker Supervisor in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

The Caseworker Supervisor is responsible for directing the activities of County Caseworkers in the Family Support Unit, Social Service Aides, Interns, and contracted staff who are all responsible for protecting the welfare of children, ensuring that they have a safe and permanent home and preserving the family unit whenever possible.  Some responsibilities include assuring the quality of casework in assigned unit through regular meetings with caseworkers, giving clear and concise direction with specific goals, and reviewing caseworker documentation to ensure it meets the Child Welfare Information Solution (CWIS) requirements. This position is expected to be proficient on CWIS and the Integrated Case and Accounting Management System (ICAMS) and will be required to attend Court proceedings as needed. All Caseworker Supervisors are required to participate in the after hours backup rotation. 

MERIT HIRE

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A  bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, gerontology, criminal justice, criminology, family studies, human development, early childhood development, human services, education, or other related human services degree AND three years  of professional children and youth social casework experience in a public or private social services agency
  2. OR two years experience as a County Children, Youth, and Families Caseworker 2
  3. OR A master's degree in social work and two years of professional children and youth social casework experience in a public or private social services agency. 

*License(s) and Certifications(s): *

  1. Valid Driver's license and current automobile insurance
  2. Direct Service Certification
  3. Appropriate clearances as required by the department (see attachment)
  4. Supervisor certificate through CWRC

Status: Full Time / Exempt Compensation: $52,282.36 annually minimum to start
