Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). Job Summary

The Technical Inspector Lead is responsible for the efficient management of all personnel and resources to accomplish all mission requirements pertaining to the Bradley Fighting Vehicles in direct support to the M2 Maintenance Mission. The TI Lead is also responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, effective implementation of the quality control program, and mission compliance with all contract requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintains close coordination with the Government to ensure responsive support.

  • Maintains awareness of all operations, projected workload, inspection results, training, Government requests, guidance, and all issues relative to safety, environmental, and personnel.

  • Directly reports to the Project Maintenance Manager and has the approval authority to accomplish all mission requirements as specified in all applicable regulations and contractual requirements. This authority includes but is not limited to performance of all functions required by the contract and related regulatory requirements: i.e., approves timecards, administers discipline in accordance with company policy and “stop work authority” if a safety or potential safety situation occurs.

  • Directly leads the Mechanics who are responsible for preventative maintenance and fault repair M2 Bradey Fighting Vehicles, to include, complex, interrelated mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical systems, equipment, and their components while in operation or in a standby condition using specially designed testing methods and test equipment such as computerized test sets, precision gauges, electronic sensors, injector test stands, engine scopes, etc., to assure that tolerance and safety factors have been met.

  • Advises mechanics of proper operation and maintenance of equipment, trains new Technical Inspectors, and further develops their skills.

  • Monitors operation and production at job site and ensures that proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed.

  • Performs under stressful conditions and meets short suspense dates.

  • May be required to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be educated on and have at least 6 years of experience in the Bradley Fighting Vehicle’s military combat systems including the Bradley’s hull and turret operations.

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Technical Inspector, Supervisor or Manager.

  • Requires well-rounded training and experience on the M2 Bradley. Experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.

  • Requires experience with GCSS-Army.

  • Requires knowledge in equipment repair or equivalent experience, thorough knowledge of field services, equipment operation, and maintenance.

  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Prior Military and or LOGCAP experience in working with military equipment and environment.

  • Knowledge of US military regulations and OEM requirements, including OSHA, ANSI regulations standards.
