As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for evaluating current processes, recommending and implementing process changes, evaluate, design and install specialty equipment as well as support the continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts. Responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineer job include:

• Take ownership of manufacturing machines and expected to be able and willing to troubleshoot machines along with maintenance techs

• Analyze equipment downtime to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs

• Assess process capabilities, identify improvement opportunities and integrate new processes and equipment to maximize manufacturing and velocity

• Develop process documentation to meet quality system and safety requirements

• Develop machine specifications for new equipment, machines and tooling, provide support on the manufacturing floor

• Be present for pre-production trials and equipment buy-off to make sure all necessary materials and equipment are in place for production

• Trains and/or provides work direction to engineering techs, maintenance associates, manufacturing engineers and manufacturing personnel

• Utilize design of experiments and process analysis for smooth transition from pre-production to production

• Responsible for KPI and manufacturing process flow improvements

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree

• 2-5 years experience as an engineer in a manufacturing facility preferred

• Strong knowledge of current use and leading-edge technologies

• Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills

• Able to learn about new products/technologies quickly

• Strong knowledge of material processing, tooling and part fabrication

• Proficient computer skills

• Requires work in open office with visits to the manufacturing floor

• Ability to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends and shutdowns

• Must have reliable transportation

• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English

• MUST be able to pass background check, physical and hair follicle drug test
