The software engineer is responsible for working on customer support tools , web applications, and integrations to support our businesses and will be located in Gent, Belgium.

In this role, in a typical day you will:

• Develop and maintain robust different tools in your scrum team, making sure it meet all the functional and non-functional requirements

• Innovate and develop new solutions as part of a team

• Participate in peer code reviews

• Stay up to date on software technology and tools

• Exchange technical information with your colleagues

• Follow and help optimize installed processes, policies and procedures

The essential requirements of the job include:

• You have at least 4 years of experience in building and maintaining web applications and tools with proven knowledge in C# and the .net framework

• You have strong analytical skills, a good focus on quality, and want to produce clean code and architectures.

• You work well together with other developers, UX Engineers, testers, support people, and management, helping everybody to excel in their specializations.

• You love experimenting with new technologies and concepts, bringing them forward to the team, while having respect for adoption difficulties and proposed alternatives.

• You are proficient in spoken and written English. Any other language is appreciated.

• You hold a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, or informatics or can prove comparable skills through experience.

• Experience with legacy systems is a plus.
