Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions and perform a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.
Responsibilities
Interpret assembly and elevation drawings
Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies
Read tape measure
Use manual hand tools (wrench, screwdriver, pliers)
Operate power tools (drill, impact, pneumatic torque wrench)
Essential Skills
At least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic
Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics
Proficiency in using shop equipment and hand tools
Ability to perform basic math functions, including understanding fractions and decimals
Fluency in reading, writing, and conversing in English
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required

Work Environment
The facility is a medium-sized facility with 60 employees, manufacturing everything from start to finish in fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly. The facility is very clean, new, modernly designed, and has comfortable temperatures to work in.
