Need 5 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Gary, MN. From: 09/09/2024 - 12/31/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As required in Minnesota, all hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 11/05/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties include drive and operate farm machinery such as tractors and combines to perform farm activities such as cultivation, harvesting of crops. Workers will drive tractors installed with GPS and operate designated towing equipment, drills, disks, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed winter wheat, and fertilize. They will deliver materials, supplies or crops to farm storage or local elevators. No commercial hauling and all crops hauled will be for the employer. Routine maintenance will be done on all equipment & grounds. Workers must be able to work independently after given instructions and must be a team player when needed. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided by the employer. Cell phone usage is limited to business related calls only. NO TEXTING. No smoking in the equipment, vehicles, housing or grounds. No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours, it is otherwise discouraged. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Employees must have a valid Class D driver's license or obtain one within 30 days. No Educational level required. Must have three (3) months experience tractors installed with GPS and towing implements. Able to operate / understand GPS with computerized monitors. Must be able to read, understand, and speak English for record keeping and safety reasons. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
