Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

• Set up/program and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations

• Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and other accessories according to specifications

• Load materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency

• Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy and productivity

• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers

• Troubleshoot issues with the machine or the machining process and make necessary adjustments or repairs

• This is a fully on-site position in Gary, Indiana.

Work Environment

Our client is currently looking for a CNC Machinist with programming capabilities on their 1st shift (7 AM - 3:30 PM), Monday - Friday. There is flexibility for starting at 5 AM or staying until 5:30 PM. They are also working Saturdays from 6 AM - 11 AM for 1st shift only. The environment is clean, it is a job shop with multiple CNC machines. Temperature can vary due to weather conditions, but it is heated in winters
