Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Garland, Texas

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Garland, Texas, 75041, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for managing General Ledger and Accounts Payable processes in a manufacturing environment, as well as providing customer service support to staff.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Manage Accounts Payable processes to ensure smooth financial operations

• Record monthly journal entries and review financial statements for accuracy

• Support banking functions, facilitating smooth financial transactions

• Ensure tax deadlines are met and provide required information for tax returns

• Maintain data for fixed assets and provide support for Accounts Payable/Receivable

• Manage fixed assets project tracking to ensure accurate record keeping

• Support audit activities, providing necessary information and assistance

• Use computer systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting

• Provide customer service support to staff, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated knowledge in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software

• Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
