Powder Coater / Paint Helper - Garland, Tx

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Helper for a custom electrical enclosure solutions provider. This family-owned business has been operating for over 50 years, delivering high-quality products to clients in various industries such as Material Handling Systems, OEM, Building Automation Systems, and Distribution. This role involves assisting with the production process, including handling heavy materials and working in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Hang parts on the paint line, consistently lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Work with aluminum and other metals/materials weighing 50+ lbs.

• Assist with spray painting and blasting tasks.

• Sanding, prepping, and general labor tasks.

• Use hand tools and perform grinding as needed.

• Ensure the production area is maintained in a clean and orderly condition.

• Follow safety protocols and use provided PPE such as eye glasses and ear plugs.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs.

• Experience with spray painting and blasting.

• Familiarity with industrial painting, coating, and sanding.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and performing grinding tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in powder coating, industrial paint prep, and racking.

• Knowledge of sandblasting processes.

• General labor and assembly experience.

Work Environment

This role primarily operates in a non-climate-controlled environment with large fans throughout the site. The paint booth area is climate-controlled for comfort. The work involves exposure to a dirty, industrial setting, and requires wearing steel-toe shoes and other provided PPE.
