The Process Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing all operational activities of the unit. This position will execute all workflows required to intake, process and deliver medical records for our retrieval business. This position will directly manage workforce planning and forecast staffing levels to meet service and productivity goals. Maintain current knowledge and development trends in the medical records retrieval industry and lead implementation of new solutions in the processing operations. Manager, Recovery and Process Operations will collaborate with other Episource medical records retrieval functional groups to develop, implement and maintain solutions and services that meet client requirements and Episource commitments.
This position will be on-site daily in Gardena, CA.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage all processing operations including all intake, processing, output and delivery of all document assets. Includes the necessary tracking and reporting at each stage of the process
Lead day to day operations of all recovery and record processing associated functions
Develop and track key KPIs across the processing operation center to track strategic goals, milestones and accomplishments
Manage workforce planning and forecast staffing levels to meet service and productivity goals
Maintain and analyze workforce performance, lead analysis and staffing change data for continuous quality and productivity improvement
Manage the relationship between Episource and external vendors to facilitate collaboration and proactively identify opportunities and solutions with mutually agreeable impact and benefits
Author, manage, and deliver executive level reporting, including weekly, monthly, quarterly status reports
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement solutions to drive improvements in operational quality and efficiency
Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
Manage workflow and training new hires

Required Qualifications:
4+ years of relevant work experience in healthcare IT, management consulting, business operations or related field
2+ years of experience rolling out process implementation
Leadership experience with responsibilities for forecasting, scheduling and KPI development for direct reports
Proven solid understanding of operations, effective operations management and improvement methodologies
Ability to be a strategic thinker along with the ability to structure, analyze and present complex ideas and data, as well as resolve complex problems in a simplified format
Experience delivering metrics and performance to senior leadership
Ability to influence senior stakeholders (across different geographies) and communicate well at all levels
Ability to make decisions under a high-pressure environment and reacts well to challenges
Proficient in MS Office with solid Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups)
Ability and willingness to work daily onsite in Gardena, CA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce CRM experience
California Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
