We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Embalmer to join our team and contribute to our mission of honoring and preserving the dignity of the deceased.

Job Summary: The Embalmer is responsible for the preparation and preservation of deceased individuals, ensuring they are presented in a dignified and respectful manner for viewings, funerals, and other memorial services. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to working with grieving families.

Key Responsibilities: - Perform embalming procedures to disinfect, preserve, and restore the deceased. - Apply restorative techniques and cosmetic procedures to enhance the appearance of the deceased for viewings. - Dress and position the deceased in caskets. - Maintain a clean and sanitary embalming room, ensuring all equipment and instruments are properly cleaned and sterilized. - Complete and maintain accurate records of embalming procedures and related documentation. - Coordinate with funeral directors and other staff to ensure timely and appropriate preparation of the deceased. - Assist with the transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home. - Provide support and guidance to grieving families, addressing their questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism. - Adhere to all legal, ethical, and safety standards, including those set by state and federal regulations.

Qualifications: - Valid state license as an Embalmer. - Associates degree or equivalent in Mortuary Science. - Proven experience as an Embalmer or in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of embalming techniques, restorative art, and cosmetic procedures. - Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity. - Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving the deceased. - Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
