Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Drag Edit Delete
Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. Drag Edit Delete
Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students. Drag Edit Delete
Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. Drag Edit Delete
Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians. Drag Edit Delete
Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.
The Pharmacist coordinates and provides the pharmaceutical care of patients.
Reports to: Director - Pharmacy
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy - Required Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Licenses: State of Tennessee Pharmacist licensure - Required BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 90 days of hire, if not current upon hire.
