Job Description:
Communicates – Strong verbal and written skills will be needed to ensure positive and professional communication with faculty, staff, students, and vendors. Will need to successfully navigate the ticketing system, email communications, and other communication systems as designated by administration. Virtual and in-person conversations will be expected.
Process Financial Transactions – After training, the Student Ops will process UF purchase credit cards (pcards) within the mandatory UF software. As the position grows, there will be an opportunity to learn how to process invoices and travel requests. As software applications adapt and change, this position will be required to learn new skills to accommodate new procedures. This is completed through training and professional communication. Discretion about purchases will be needed. The incumbent will be expected to learn UF financial regulations and take steps to ensure compliancy is maintained.
Team Effort – The Financial Service Center fosters a team effort. This includes a professional and supportive environment. This member will be expected to attend and contribute to trainings. Travel may be required. There may be times where staff is requested to contribute to a special project or do other duties as assigned.
Expected Salary:
$14 - $15 per hour
Minimum Requirements:
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Must possess critical thinking skills.
· Skilled in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams programs.
· Skilled in accurate data entry.
· Ability to learn UF policy and procedures.
· Effective verbal and written communication.
· Excellent customer service, time management, record-keeping and organizational abilities required.
· Easily adapts to new and updated software.
· Must be able to work well in a team environment.
