Job Description:
The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences, Division of Operative Dentistry at the Associate/Full Professor rank. The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service.
This position will serve as Program Director for the Advanced Education Program in Operative and Esthetic Dentistry. Responsibilities for this position will center on advanced education (resident) level didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction, participation in research/scholarly activity and intramural faculty practice. Responsibilities as Program Director include program administration, preparation of reports, resident scheduling, and faculty assignment. The Program Director is also responsible for: the development and implementation of the curriculum plan; ongoing evaluation of program content/outcome assessment, faculty teaching and resident performance; evaluation of resident training and supervision.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum requirements include:
DDS, DMD or equivalent degree.
Master’s and/or PhD in Biomaterials or Operative Dentistry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include:
Previous experience as Program Director for Advanced Education Program in Operative Dentistry.
Involvement in research /scholarly activities.
Expertise and national/international recognition in the field of most contemporary esthetic dentistry.
Expertise in digital dentistry (using 3Shape-, Sirona digital-, and Planmeca- workflows).
Expertise in esthetic full mouth reconstruction which includes deep understanding of integration of operative dentistry with implants, periodontology, prosthodontics, and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
Previous teaching experience in Operative Dentistry at advanced education level.
Evidence of expertise in esthetic and digital dentistry.
Previous clinical and private practice experience.
