Job Description:

Oversee maintenance and renovations of MSE facilities, including prioritizing projects, scheduling, and budgeting. Supervise facilities staff by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, directing work, helping with two-person projects, and resolving escalated problems.

Oversee building access controls (keys, keypads, Lenel electronic access), ensuring proper settings for holidays and emergency closures. Maintains accurate space usage information and manage department space allocation reporting.

Manage campus mail and shipping/receiving operations, including sorting, notifying recipients, preparing outgoing packages, and submitting financial documentation.

Manage all asset management functions, including annual inventory, surplus, and Required Asset Certifications. Serves as property custodian for the department.

Enter and tracks Facilities Services work orders and EH&S Pest Control requests. Report and track maintenance/housekeeping needs with HPWT supervisor.

Serve as building emergency coordinator (BEC), developing preparedness, disaster, and continuity plans. Attend relevant meetings, seminars, and training sessions.

Respond to after-hours facilities calls, including building fire alarms or other facilities emergencies.

Other duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$61,000-$71,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be familiar with and have experience using various machines and tools associated with a metal and wood machine shop; drill press, lathe, cut-off saws, presses, milling machines, drills, saws, furniture dollies, gas cylinder carts, etc.

Must possess customer service skills and the ability to interact with a diverse population.

Must work as a team and contribute to a cohesive team and work environment.
