Spherion Gainesville, FL has a client looking for a experienced Machinist Fabricator in Gainesville, FL. You will operate and maintain manual lathe and milling machines, review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping and select appropriate machine and settings for a given task. Let's get to work.

Direct Hire Opportunity Gainesville, FL Schedule: FT - Monday - Friday 7am - 4:30pm Salary: starting at $20-25/hr DOE

Responsibilities: - Coordinate with Welding Foreman to locate and request purchase of necessary supplies. - Analyze specification charts, samples, and drawings - Develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications - Measure and mark raw materials needed to manufacture parts - Set up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan - Operate equipment to carry out each step correctly - Monitor the production process and intervening when problems arise - Inspect finished parts for flaws and defects - Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: - HS Diploma or equivalent - At least 1 year fabricating experience - Excellent mathematical skills - Ability to cut threads on a lathe - Use a Dividing head for Gear cutting and other applications - Valid Florida Driver's License. The employer must have a valid driver's license to drive their personal vehicle or a company vehicle as required by the employer to various worksite locations. - Ability to drive a forklift or learn
