LifeSouth Community Blood Centers Human Resources Generalist in Gainesville, Florida

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven, individual to join the team as aHuman Resources GeneralistinGainesville, FL. This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties within multiple areas of Human Resources. This position will work closely with senior management, district administrative staff, and other Human Resources staff to meet the Human Resources needs of the organization.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Manage the employee recognition programs

  • Manage the employee wellness programs

  • Process employee reimbursements

  • Assist with all clerical and administrative tasks needed by the HR staff (filing, ordering supplies, etc)

  • Assist with front desk coverage

  • Cross-train with other HR Generalists to serve as back up

  • Act as back up for HR Assistant

  • Assist with coordinating corporate employee recognition events and holiday party

  • Arrange and process travel for the organization

  • Track and update documentation for COVID and Hep-B vaccinations

  • Document/track written warnings and official reprimands

  • Manage the design and execution of bi-annual performance reviews

  • Assist with conducting tobacco tests as needed

  • Conduct random and accident/incident related drug screenings

  • Coordinate unemployment hearings

  • Work closely with third party vendor, TALX, to ensure unemployment claims are processed

  • Communicate to management any changes with unemployment laws and/or processes

Qualifications

  • Associate degree

  • Work with confidential records and maintain confidentiality of these materials

  • Valid driver's license. Must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements.-

  • Basic computer skills and experience with computer programs

  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and organized

  • Must possess flexibility with work assignments and be able to multi-task

  • Ability to take initiative and assist in developing departmental policies, procedures, and projects

  • Must maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Experience in Human Resources environmentpreferred
