Job Description:

Website creation and maintenance

  • Modernize and update the Center’s website to host current and engaging content. Maintain this site and ensure it stays up-to-date.

  • Solicit the UF community and Center membership for news to update the website.

  • Report results of website effectiveness to the Director and identify opportunities for improvement.

Social media deployment

  • Deploy social media platforms to relay current and engaging content. Keep current feeds sent to target audiences. Engage other social media users to help broadcast content.

  • Report results of effectiveness to the Director and identify opportunities for improvement.

Newsletter creation and deployment

  • Develop and deploy an email newsletter to relay current and engaging content.

  • Use this to immediately help convey activities hosted by the Center to foster rebranding of the Center, and to highlight Center activities and Center member accomplishments.

  • Report results of effectiveness to the Director and identify opportunities for improvement.

Email communications

  • Support the Director in effective email communications to reach target audiences across Campus and in the State of Florida.

Special events

  • Support the Director in organizing and hosting retreats and special events for the Center’s membership, including effective communication of such events.

Expected Salary:Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to meet deadlines and maintain an orderly work schedule.

  • Experience with online and print publishing.

  • Experience working with the news media.

  • Experience of social-media management and email newsletter tools.
