Job Description:

The Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research (PTR (https://ptr.pharmacy.ufl.edu/) ) invites applications for a full time (1.0 FTE) 12-month faculty position as a Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure-track). This is an exciting opportunity to join the PTR faculty at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, located in Gainesville, Florida. The ideal candidate will have expertise implementing Pharmacogenomics into clinical practice, experience with pharmacist billing, and/or entrepreneurial experience. Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to excel in teaching, scholarship, and clinical research/practice.

Position responsibilities will include collaborating within the UF Health Precision Medicine Program to conduct clinical research and expand clinical implementation of pharmacogenetics, including practice within the Pharmacogenetics Consult Service (https://myrx.ufhealth.org/) . Responsibilities will also include didactic and clinical teaching within the PharmD program, focusing on pharmacogenomics; advising students and student organizations; and actively participating in the department and College.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants should have a PharmD degree with relevant postgraduate training (residency and/or fellowship) or equivalent experience in the field of pharmacogenomics. Excellent communication skills are essential. Applicants must also be eligible for Florida Pharmacy Licensure. An FDLE Criminal Background Check is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience, prior experience implementing pharmacogenomics into clinical practice, evidence of scholarship, experience in mentoring students and/or postgraduate trainees, and prior experience mentoring diverse students or providing culturally competent care to a diverse patient population. Candidates with BCPS or BCACP certifications are preferred.
