Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Gaffney SC 29341

Pay Range: 30-38 an hour

Lead and oversee hands-on maintenance operations to ensure optimal production equipment performance and achieve departmental goals.

  • Provide direct hands-on leadership and supervision to the facility’s maintenance shift, actively engaging in the maintenance activities and fostering a safe and productive work environment.

  • Drive hands-on departmental excellence by focusing on key metrics like cost control, productivity, quality, and safety compliance.

  • Conduct regular hands-on on-site inspections to verify safe work practices, maintain work area safety, ensure quality workmanship, and evaluate maintenance/repair effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement hands-on maintenance schedules and technician assignments to optimize support for production needs and USDA requirements.

  • Prioritize and manage hands-on maintenance requests, actively participating in repairs and ensuring timely completion.

  • Cultivate a skilled hands-on workforce by designing on-the-job training programs for new hires, actively participating in training sessions, documenting training records, developing equipment-specific training, and creating skill-upgrading assessments.

  • Perform hands-on proactive equipment inspections to identify and address maintenance needs, minimizing repair requests.

  • Champion hands-on continuous learning by implementing and overseeing training programs as directed by the Maintenance Department Supervisor, actively participating in training sessions to enhance maintenance staff effectiveness.

  • Embrace additional hands-on responsibilities as assigned to support the overall departmental objectives.
