The Information Security Manager has a pivotal role that demands a technical grasp of security operations and the strategic insight to drive business outcomes. This leader will orchestrate a dynamic team responsible for Security Operations, including Vulnerability Management, Threat Management, Incident Responses, and GRC operations. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Craft and implement comprehensive operational security strategies covering all information security aspects for a growing team.

  • Responsible for security operations and aligning them with global security objectives and practices.

  • Collaborate with US counterparts to synchronize efforts in Engineering, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and Security Architecture.

  • Drive a focused initiative to automate security workflows within the operational team, enhancing efficiency and response times.

  • Engage with team members to ensure that work is valuable and efficient for the business.

  • Identify business, cyber, and operational risks, working with the team to develop mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain communication and troubleshoot security systems with security vendors.

  • Promote continuous professional development of the team, staying ahead of the evolving threat landscape and regulatory requirements.

  • Ad-hoc crisis management for any ongoing or identified critical cyber security incidents.

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the security team, fostering an environment of accountability and excellence.

  • Develop team members through mentorship, training, and performance management.

  • Manage cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business goals.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to senior management on security-related matters.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years’ experience in leading security operations, focusing on vulnerability, threat management, and incident response.

  • Experience with the following security operations tools; logging systems, firewalls, anti-virus, SIEM, vulnerability management tools, DLP, CASB, etc.

  • Experience with cloud security and developing and implementing cloud systems in AWS, Azure or GCP.

  • Expertise in security automation, threat intelligence, and incident management.

  • Firm grasp of GRC and frameworks such as SOC2, ISO, and NIST CSF.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different geographies and time zones.

  • Proficient in English, including speaking, reading and writing.

Preferred

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering/Science, Information Management Systems or equivalent.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.
