Aston Carter Cost Analyst in Fulton, New York

Description:

This position is responsible to establish and maintain the standard cost of inventory; monitor daily inventory transactions and manufacturing performance variances. It is responsible for reconciliation of all inventory balance sheet accounts. This position also supports the annual budget process and organizes the annual physical inventory. Responsibilities: -Establish and maintain accurate standard cost. Maintain symmetry of cost within product classifications, utilize reporting programs to analyze manufacturing variances and update database standard cost fields. Monitor sub-system transactions and produce relevant reports and/or correcting journal entries. -Timely month end reconciliation of inventory accounts, allocation of cost of goods sold and other month end duties as assigned. -Extract and analyze sub-system data. Effective responses to requests for data and analysis. -Understand key business performance measures. Ability to back up Accounting Manager and new item set up. -Support annual development of Budget. -Organize annual Physical Inventory.

  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment working with cost - Microsoft Excel- create vlook ups and pivot tables -Experience with SKUs or product volume- this person will be working w/ 1000’s o SKUs daily- plant is producing millions of products daily -Manufacturing background
