Description

Management Resources is seeking a Fund Accountant for a long-term contract for our client in the Investment Management industry. The Fund Accountant will handle daily transactions, maintaining financial records and supporting the annual audit process. This position will be instrumental in the cash management and reconciliation of bank and GL accounts within the company. Must have 3+ years of experience with INVESTRAN. This is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process daily transactions related to Private Equity, Asset Management, Hedge Fund and Financial Services.

• Conduct cash management operations and bank reconciliations periodically.

• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts on a regular basis.

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of monthly financial reporting.

• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary financial data and documentation.

• Handle marketable security transactions, including valuation adjustments, acquisitions and dispositions.

• Respond to Limited Partner (LP) requests promptly and professionally.

• Support the accounting close period by ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Assist in various special projects and provide ad hoc reporting as needed.

• Efficiently work with Investran fund accounting software for various accounting tasks.

Requirements • Professional experience of at least 5 years in the field of Fund Accounting within the Investment Management industry.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems for managing financial information.

• Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal for accessing financial data and analytics.

• Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions and their application in fund management.

• Experience in Auditing, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Knowledge of Budget Processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting.

• Ability to manage Capital and Cash Activity effectively, ensuring optimal fund performance.

• Experience in handling Private Equity Funds and understanding their operational nuances.

• Knowledge of Alternative Investments, including their risks, benefits, and management strategies.
