APTIM Electrician Maintenance in Ft Novosel, Alabama

Job Overview :

Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical equipment. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as interior and exterior lighting and power, generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other equipment. Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and meters.

Prefer five years of experience in the electrical trade. Must be able to troubleshoot and determine the equipment and material needed for repairs. Will need to have good verbal and written skills and the ability to work alone and with others

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Responds to service calls.

  • Performs Maintenance and Repair on all types of electrical systems to include Airfield Lighting

  • Repairs and replaces Motors and controls

  • Installs new conduit and wire systems indoor and outdoor

  • Will be required to rotate on schedule for "On call" after hours.

  • And other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Must be able to work with others.

  • Working knowledge of meters and hand tools.

  • Knowledge of Electrical code NEC

  • Must have a valid Alabama driver's license

  • Must be able to lift 50lb
