ARSIEM is looking for a Principal Analytic Software Developer. This position will support one of our government clients in Ft. Meade, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.

  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve its performance.

  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.

  • Develop new software code or modify existing software to add new features.

  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.

  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.

  • Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.

  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards

  • Write or review software and system documentation.

  • Work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated environment.

  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.

  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers, analyze systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigate problem areas.

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and document big data cloud computing workflows for the GhostMachine Platform (Apache Hadoop).

  • Participate in Agile software development, including sprint cycle planning, code reviews, and creating and maintaining Jira tickets to document tasks performed.

  • Ability to serve as the team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any project.

  • Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 13 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED plus 15 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position

  • Computer Science (CS) degree or related field

  • Experience with Java, Pig

  • Customer GHOSTMACHINE analytic development

  • Experience with Hadoop (Map Reduce & Distributed File System (HDFS))

  • Experience with software configuration using Gitlab, Git, Gitflo, and Nexus

  • Experience with Linux (Red Hat version 3 – 5+)

  • Experience with VPN technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some networking knowledge

  • Experience developing analytics in the Query Time Analytics (QTA) environment.

  • Experience with Maven and web services development, Zoom workflows.

  • Familiarity with network encrypting protocols (i.e., IKE/IPsec, TLS, and technologies such as Tor)

  • Familiarity with SIGINT and customer corporate tools (i.e., XKS & DX)

  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence

  • Formal or informal leadership experience​

Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active TS/SCI with a polygraph. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
