MAG SOA/TRMS Operations and Training Specialist in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky
Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Operations and Training Specialist to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
Provide operations and training support theSOATB S3.
Develop and track concept of operations (CONOPs) plans for the SOATB S3 and160th SOAR.
Schedule aircraft to support SOATB flight training.
Develop andmake recommendations and track SOATB’s Flying Hour Program of approximately 9,000 flight hours annually.
Monitor aviator flight records for compliance with appropriate regulations and policies.
Be responsible for maintaining over 300 Individual Flight Records, sensitive equipment accountability, scheduling and tracking of approximately 2,500 flights annually, providing required flight publications and professionally responding to and providing support for any aircraft incidents/accidents.
Forecast and request training resources, such as ranges, ammunition, air and ramp space, special equipment, assets for aerial refueling support, and ships for deck landing qualifications.
Manage SOATB courses in AATRS.
Prepare and maintain the SOATB Long and Short Range Training Calendar for successful execution of all courses. The Contractor shall plan, develop, coordinate, and track SOATB’s Long Range Training Calendar comprised of 34 ATRRS POIs.
Synchronize and track SOATB’s Short Range Training Calendar for the successful execution of basic and advanced SOA air, ground, and combat mission simulators to produce BMQ Soldiers for the 160th SOAR.
Coordinate all external resources required for POIs such as the following: 1) Web Enabled Scheduling System (WEBSKED) portal for U.S. Navy ships; 2) JAAAC portal for USSOCOM air; and 3) Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) portal for CONUS installation ranges.
Prepare and present briefings. The Contractor shall complete taskings and facilitate numerous VIP visits.
Coordinate, schedule, track, and de-conflict the execution of SOATB’s fiscal year external resource requirements that include: approximately 200 helicopter aerial refueling training sorties with Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), U.S. Air Force and Marine Reserve, and National Guard MC-130 tanker units.
Request and coordinate approximately 20-ships for single and multi-spot deck landing qualification training, Request and coordinate approximately 100-small arms ranges, 100-aerial gunnery ranges, and 20- multiple live-fire Situational Training Exercise ranges. Revise SOATB Standards in Training Commission (STRAC) ammunition which is approximately 290,000 x 5.56mm rounds, 380,000 x 9mm rounds, 2.15 million x 7.62mm rounds, and 1800 x 2.75-inch rockets.
Submit Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR) and Request for Orders (RFO) through the Resource Manager.
Plan, coordinate, and implement SOATB’s Organizational Inspection Program to include both internal and external staff assistance visits and inspections.
Draft, staff, track, and prepare SOATB’s weekly Battalion Situation Report for submission to the ARSOAC G3.
Prepare and brief the weekly Synchronization training meeting for the SOATB S3 and bi-monthly Command and Staff meeting. The frequency of such meetings is subject to change based upon the Government’s needs. The Contractor shall prepare SOATB’s Annual Command History report for submission to the ARSOAC G3.
Assist with document preparation and information gathering for SOATB’s submission of the LTG Ellis D. Parker award.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of three years experience with Army Special Operations rotary wing helicopters.
Minimum of two years experience as an Operations Officer or Senior NCO in Army Special OperationAviation.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
