Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033

Work hours: Part Time (Nights) 7p-7a. 24 hrs./wk. Weekend and holiday requirements

Medical Surgical Department highlights:

· 30-bed General Medical Surgical Tele unit – fast paced, quick turnover

· Experience with tele, surgical, plastics, bariatrics, spine highly preferred.

· 1:5 patient ratio, PCT for every 10-15 patients

Here's What You Need

Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref

Experience 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req

Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req And ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support charge only 90 Days Req

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
