Robert Half Accounting Manager in Frisco, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Frisco, Texas. This role is centered in the Construction Industry where the potential candidate will be responsible for reviewing general ledger accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close, ensuring all accounting is done according to US GAAP and creating process flow/processes as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Review and prepare appropriate journal entries in the accounting system as part of the monthly close

• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including creating checklist/playbook

• Ensure all accounting is in accordance with US GAAP – including Revenue Recognition, Prepaids, Amortizations, etc.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Work cooperatively with all levels of employees – demonstrating high level of interpersonal skills & professionalism

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively and efficiently

• Manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions

• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required

• Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks.

The ideal candidate should have implementation experience and knowledge of the construction industry. Being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting managerial role

• Proficient in accounting software systems

• Demonstrable experience in handling accounting functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of US GAAP regulations

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

• Understanding of Revenue Recognition, Prepaid Expense, and Accruals

• Experience with Change Management

• Ability to create and understand Process Flow Charts

• Experience in Business Process Improvement

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Strong interpersonal skills.
