The Supply Chain Function is responsible for balancing supply and demand across the organization; ensuring we have the optimized amount of inventory to meet worldwide demand for Medtronic’s vast array of businesses and products.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Finance Manager to join our Global Supply Chain Finance Team. In this critical role, you will lead the Global Supply Chain FP&A team and oversee our financial planning, analysis and reporting for Medtronic Global Supply Chain functional spend. You will report to the Finance Director of Global Supply Chain FP&A, Strategy and Transformation.

You will work closely with Medtronic Global Supply Chain Leadership Team to effectively manage global functional spend as well as resource planning and support decision making. You will also partner with Global Supply Chain Finance teams and GOSC FP&A teams to drive insightful analysis and clear communications on Global Supply Chain financial performance through monthly financial reporting (MFR).

This position is a hybrid role at Fridley, MN site.

A Day in the Life

We are looking for a bold thinker and dynamic leader to continue to evolve our Global Supply Chain FP&A function. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive a positive impact through the following:

  • Be the trusted advisor for and provide financial leadership to the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team to optimize resource allocation and make prioritization and trade-off decisions while effectively manage risks and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support longer term functional planning and scenario analysis.

  • Lead Global Supply Chain functional spend Forecasts and Annual Operating Planning

  • Drive continuous improvement in Global Supply Chain functional spend and headcount reporting as well as the overall Global Supply Chain monthly financial reporting (MFR) to drive insights and actions.

  • Collaborate with other teams in Global Supply Chain Finance and GOSC FP&A teams to drive continuous improvement on key planning and reporting processes.

  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

  • MBA

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to “tell the story” in a relevant and succinct manner

  • Strong collaboration, working in a matrix, and business partnership skills.

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and regulations and financial analysis techniques

  • Experience leading lead people and achieving results through others.

  • Experience and success working with others across in a matrix environment i.e. Finance, Global Operations and Supply Chain Functions, GOSC Finance, Corporate Systems COEs and/or Enterprise partners.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

  • Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional/operational level

  • Ability to travel less than 5%

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
