Fairview Health Services Medical Assistant / LPN - ENT Speciality Clinic in Fridley, Minnesota

Overview

We at Fairview Health Services is looking for Medical Assistant to be based out of the Fridley Specialty Clinic! This position is approved for 70 hours every two weeks, and is benefit eligible. The schedule for this role will likely be:

  • ENT CLINIC in FRIDLEY: Mondays, Thursdays, Friday (Shifts between 730-430)

  • ALLERGY CLINIC in ELK RIVER: Tuesdays and Wednesdays (630-500)

Responsibilities Job Description

As a key participant in the patients care team, a Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/support network. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

  • Easily communicates compliance and concerns to others involved with patient care

  • Partner with patient and/or care-giver in care/decision making

  • Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience

  • Recognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences

  • Takes action to assure continuity of care for all assigned patient

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program

  • Current BLS certification required

Preferred:

  • Current certification by the AAMA.

  • Previous experience in a clinic setting.
