Responsibility

  • Take charge of maintaining hardware product quality throughout the stages of NPI, mass production, and until the end of product life cycle.

  • Periodically audit and score CMs and Key suppliers to ensure alignment with the company's expectations. Improve supplier and CM Quality performances through a growth matrix

  • Partner with the sourcing team to ensure completion of DFx from CM’s and suppliers, focusing on PCB, PCBA, and complex mechanical components. Review results and provide feedback to the R&D team.

  • Review qualification reports for factory audits, compliance and / or regulatory testing / compliance.

  • Participate in design reviews with R&D to ensure lessons learned, postmortem and field issues are prevented in future designs.

  • Create CM traceability requirements for both critical components and product assembly for shop floor control

  • Conduct or review FAI to determine acceptance for key components.

  • Conduct DOEs as needed in assembly and in SMT areas.

  • Utilize tracking system to manage CMs and suppliers via CAR/8D/PIPs and ensure timely closure.

  • Generate ECO/Deviation for suppliers in document control system.

  • Establish quality matrix to monitor and enhance the quality level of CM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree related in quality, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical engineering with 3+ years of experience in electronic manufacturing service or related.Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Understand and experience in ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System.

  • Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings with GD&T and conducting accurate measurements.

  • Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics conducting basic electrical analyses.

  • Proficient in using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis, presentation, and documentation.

  • Experience in 7 tools of quality. Experience with Minitab or similar.Ability to use PFMEA/DFMEA tools

  • Experience with contract manufacturers (CMs) building high density, high frequency, high layer count circuit boards and includes box builds.

  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments. Able to left/move 50lb, 8 hour with 85db noise, etc.

  • Six Sigma green belt is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to conduct root cause analysis, providing CAPA.

  • Excellent cross-functional skills. Strong individual and Team skills.

  • Capable of domestic and local travel (25%) and international travel (10%)

The salary range for this position is $104,300 to $166,900 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
