JOB SUMMARY

“In-house” are field service technicians that report to a specific customer site every day to manage our customer’s material handling equipment fleet and to keep it in the best operating condition. The technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electro/mechanical problems, installing and performing unscheduled and scheduled maintenance on forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Must provide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Forklift Mechanic Experience preferred.
  • Excellent Mechanical and Electrical aptitude troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal instruction and read and interpret schematics and service and training manuals
  • A successful track record of employment and a commitment to achieving success
  • Ability to safely operate power tools and effectively use volt, ohm and multimeters.
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently
  • A superior level of customer service that promotes goodwill between the company, customer, and other Werres Corporation associates.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High School education and a minimum of one year mechanical, electrical or hydraulic experience or equivalent education.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work, exerting in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 20 lbs constantly, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stopping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping.
