Menocal Family Practice has been providing affordable managed Primary Health Care from its headquarters in Frederick for 18 years. We have grown to fill the need of the patient population in key communities which also include Baltimore, Hagerstown and Salisbury.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The CMA will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Duties:

• Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate
• Administer medications or vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Process documents and scan into patient charts in our Athena EMR system
• Provide patient education on various health topics
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and well-stocked
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care delivery

Requirements:

• Valid certification as a Medical Assistant
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassion and empathy
• Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems ie: Athena
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Basic life support certification preferred
• Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
• Bilingual Candidate preferred but not required (English a must, + ideal Spanish speaker)
