JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Franklin, WI will apply best practices in application programming, SAAS interface design, and application architecture. Work with both relational and nonrelational databases (DB2, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Postgres, MySQL) and microservices architecture. Utilize strong database management skills to design schemas and optimize data query performance. Exhibit proficiency in both backend and frontend development. Establish and uphold best practices in coding, compliance, security, and privacy. Break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable tasks and assist others in doing the same to create Jira stories. Work with CI/CD concepts, tools, and branching strategies to deliver infrastructure as a code. Demonstrate a solid understanding of various testing methodologies.
