JOB REQUIREMENTS: Central Specialty Pet, a division of Central Garden & Pet, is looking for qualified summer interns to join our Operations team! Paid 10-week Summer 2024 Operations Internship positions will reside in the Aquatics, Small Animal, Pet Bird and Wild Bird business segments at our Franklin, WI location. Our Operations Summer Internships are designed to provide you with an outstanding learning experience and a realistic immersion of working full time at our company. What can you expect to get out of this internship? You will be entrusted with challenging business projects. You will have the opportunity to own specific real-world projects that will have a direct impact on business results. You will also have the opportunity to work with passionate people and receive continuous coaching and mentoring from your manager and colleagues. Your will have the opportunity to work with the development and implementation of training playbooks for manufacturing employees. These are some example projects you may work on as a Summer Intern: Assist with the delivery of data collection, gap analysis in skills or training requirements and training programs. Build the skills matrix overlay for various departments and report data that can deliver actions for manufacturing leadership on skills gaps. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to the Operations team. Assist with the maintenance and updating of training materials. Design or get creative with different training platforms to include videos, SOP\'s, and Job Aids. What are we looking for in you? Enrolled in manufacturing, communications, or data analytics course of study at an accredited university. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Exposure with learning management systems (LMS). Experience with various generic training programs. Experience data mining and consolidating information that delivers clear messaging. Experience or exposure to manufacturing operations.
