API Heat Transfer Maintenance Technician in Franklin, Wisconsin

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing manufacturing operations with the required support relative to machine repair, preventative maintenance, installation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities will include:

  • General building maintenance and repairs.

  • Check the operation of machines; perform basic troubleshooting of electrical components, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Perform complex preventative and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment using various tools and equipment.

  • Modify and rebuild manufacturing equipment to meet new machine requirements or production demands with engineering support. Provide input on proposed manufacturing equipment and install capital equipment.

  • Understand and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics for troubleshooting equipment with minimal assistance.

  • Maintain work orders on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Document all machine preventative, predictive, and/or maintenance repairs clearly and concisely for accurate maintenance record keeping.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials.

  • Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment system to comply with state and local municipal requirements.

Experience and proficiency in the following areas:

  • 1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Basic electrical experience.

  • Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Familiar with CMMS scheduling systems.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel).

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment; able to work well under tight deadlines
