Position Summary

As a Sr. Manager you will be a key member of a team providing strategic solutions and evaluating processes and technologies to make business recommendations to meet CVS goals and objectives. You will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and planning multiple projects and initiatives for areas across the organization to ensure on-time, on-budget program delivery.

Additionally, you will help define future business automation direction. This position will partner with business analysts and technical leads to understand the business problem and determine the appropriate methodology to deliver it. You will be responsible for understanding the business case and ensuring the plan, schedule, resources, and overall approach will meet the objectives. The team works closely with internal and external partners to deliver key strategic projects and proof of concepts. As part of the Analytical and Behavioral Change (A&BC) Specialty Pharmacy Analytics Team, you will work with key systems across the PBM and Retail businesses, leading automation and process improvement activities and evaluating the latest technologies to improve operations and enhance member and client satisfaction. An ideal candidate can lead and coordinate initiatives across multiple stakeholders and teams, document and communicate the objectives and milestones of the program effectively and understands processes from both a business and technical perspective. Understanding, analyzing and decrypting complex processes is key to the team’s ability to define and implement industry leading solutions to improve the customer experience.

Additional responsibilities of the Sr. Manager include:

  • Prepares and presents presentations to key leadership and stakeholders

  • Defines program scope, resource requirements, budget, timeline, deliverables, dependencies, milestones, and plans

  • Maintains focus on program risks and interdependencies across the life cycle, making contingency plans to proactively address issues that pose risk to budget, schedule, and scope

  • Engages cross-functional leaders across all business areas to determine effective Root Cause Analysis, short-and long-term solutions, and remediation. Drives results and resolve issues including the ability to assess and course correct as necessary.

  • Facilitates internal and external meetings ensuring clear, complete, thorough, and consistent documentation of status, issues, risks, budget, key decisions, root cause and final resolution.

  • Oversees the technology/vendor selection and facilitates vendor management

  • Displays strong organizational skills with attention to detail evidenced through sound analytical skills

  • Displays strong initiative, addressing issues without prompting

  • Understands Business Architecture and Technical Solution Architecture, working with IT and external partners to evaluate and implement new technologies

Required Qualifications8+ years of experience as a program manager including the following:- 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience - 3+ years of proven experience in negotiation and conflict management at the senior executive level.Preferred Qualifications- Experience with AI (ML, NLP, DL) and RPA technologies- Specific healthcare experience - Process re-engineering or reliability engineering Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. PMP and/or SAFe certification desired.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $149,300.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
