TEKsystems Senior Service Desk Technician Frankfort, Kentucky

Position Overview:

TEKsystems is seeking a Sr. Service Desk Technician to join its Incident Response Team in Frankfort, KY. This role involves providing exceptional technical support and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Work Hours:

  • Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 7:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

  • Selected Candidate’s Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Technical Support Experience:

  • 2–3 years of IT experience in desktop support, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.

  • Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide comprehensive desktop support.

  • Customer Service Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with customers, including upset or frustrated individuals.

  • Resolves issues with ownership and initiative, using clear, easy-to-understand explanations.

  • Personal Attributes:

  • Self-motivated and proactive.

  • Open to learning and training opportunities.

  • A strong team player who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Experience in a customer service-oriented workplace.

  • Familiarity with desktop and remote support processes.

  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Office applications.

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting tools, networking (e.g., mapping network drives), and general system navigation.

  • Exposure to ticketing systems and tools for managing incidents effectively.

  • Experience with Active Directory and VPN technologies.

  • Excellent multitasking and documentation skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
