Humana Financial Analytics Lead - HQRI Value in Frankfort, Kentucky

Apply your expertise in financial analysis, technical skills, and business intelligence to drive the growth of a $75B business! In this role, you will support the value story for Humana's risk adjustment and Stars activities overall, as well as end-to-end evaluation and analysis of key activities, including Humana's rapidly expanding healthcare interoperability efforts. You'll work closely with leaders in operations, finance, analytics, and actuarial to solve tricky problems through collaboration.

The HQRI Finance team supports Humana's Healthcare Quality Reporting and Improvement business area, part of the Medicare and Medicaid business. With over 9 million medical members and $67B in '20 revenue, Medicare and Medicaid are Humana's largest business segments, comprising over 80% of the company's total revenue and the majority of its earnings. The Finance team develops revenue and risk score projections for bids and budgets, evaluates changes in Medicare and Medicaid regulations and payment models, monitors and reports on risk adjustment data submissions, and supports HQRI operations.

Location: remote but preference for hybrid in Louisville

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis and generate insights to inform program investment decisions and facilitate the planning and development of Humana's interoperability efforts

  • Work with a focus on customer service and commitment to achieving goals

  • Partner with operations leaders to develop financial analytics that go beyond their basic business needs to delight, inspire, and add value

  • Help tell the story of the HQRI team's full value-add to the enterprise through detailed analysis and by creating engaging content to summarize key insights

  • Create reporting to allow customers to more easily gain insights into value generation and opportunities at each stage of operations

  • Synthesize complex information and communicate it to a wide variety of audiences on matters of importance

  • Drive technical and process excellence to ensure efficient and accurate analysis

  • Collaborate with other analytics teams inside and outside HQRI

  • Work independently with general guidance from the Director, HQRI Value Story - lead business partnerships, customer interactions, and presentations

Use your skills to make an impact

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 7 years of finance, data analysis and/or strategy consulting experience

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional teams

  • Experience with SQL and/or PowerBI

  • Experience in managing data to support and influence decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and specific business performance issues

  • Experience in compiling, interpreting, and analyzing data to identify, explain, influence variances and trends

  • Experience presenting complex concepts to senior leaders

  • Experience creating compelling presentations using data and visualizations to provide insights to customers

  • Proven experience collaborating across enterprises

Desired Qualifications

  • Medicare risk adjustment or stars or experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$95,300 - $131,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
