CNC Machinist

Currently hiring a CNC Machinist in the Frankfort, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Pay: $21-$26/HR. Overtime available.

Shift: 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:30pm). Training on 1st shift.

Job Description:

• Operating and setting up BTB machinery (mill) with Siemens controls.

• Running the machine 80-90% of the day to meet production quotas, which vary depending on the product.

• Performing hourly quality checks, contingent on the item being produced.

• Utilizing precision measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.

• Documenting daily production at the end of each shift for smooth transition to the next operator.

• Installing and adjusting necessary tools for daily machine preparation.

• Performing 1-3 setups per shift.

• Interpreting and working from blueprints.

• Setting cutting speeds and feed rates for machines.

• Cutting and grinding tools as needed.

• Loading the machine with raw materials.

• Occasionally lifting up to 50+ pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• CNC Operating Experience.

• Experience working with blueprints and gauges.

• Mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment:

• Smaller manufacturing facility that is relatively clean.

• Constant noise requiring ear plugs due to machinery.

• Non-climate controlled environment: hot when hot, cold when cold.
