The Colleague Experience Group (CEG) provide a great colleague experience every day. Obsess over understanding the colleague experience at a deeper level to co-create simple and great ways of working that enable everyone to be and deliver their best. Responsible for people management, including acquiring talent, developing and retaining colleagues worldwide, and being responsible for key programs like compensation, benefits, diversity and colleague and labor relations.
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources Business Partner – France & Nordics, this role will be responsible for core results to drive business outcomes for the French market for 800 colleagues.
Aligned to the design and delivery of the Market Colleague Plan (MCP) in France, you will:
Serve as a point of integration for HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence (COEs), and the broader HR team to ensure the alignment and effective deployment of key initiatives.
Partnering with business leaders and COEs to build the employment brand in the Market, supporting local initiatives and representing AXP externally.
Inspiring change initiatives with senior partners to provide meaningful solutions aligned to the evolving needs of the Business and the growth of our colleagues.
Using data to provide insights and to guide decision-making, and provide proactive solutions

Participate in the deployment of Career Growth at Amex, aligned to Blue Box values and Leadership Behaviours, in leading the Leadership Community
Partner with HR Business Partners on the development and careers of key talent through talent assessments, manager and above talent slates, and succession planning.
Support targeted development initiatives for top talent, in partnership with the business.
Culture:
Build an engagement strategy for the broader colleague base as well as specific plans for addressing the needs of all colleagues in the Market
Partner with Business Leaders to ensure an effective colleague experience across the colleague lifecycle, providing thought leadership across the market
Support a strong employment brand for American Express in the Market, working with business leaders, COEs and external partners
Recruiting:
Partner with Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) to use recruitment insights to advise and drive market talent strategy, embed partnership to support internal and external pipelines, including diverse hires and movement.
Bring the CVP to life for colleagues by continuing to deliver and continuously improve the onboarding experience for new hires.
Well-being:
- Support the evolution of an inclusive Benefits strategy to meet the current and future needs of colleagues, ensuring that changes are communicated clearly to colleagues and partners.
Minimum Qualifications
10 years proven experience in a sophisticated matrix and international environment in a HR Business Partner model
High drive for decision-making & results, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes
Excellent project management skills with the proven track record to lead and flawlessly deliver large scale strategic projects and initiatives.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills with senior partners, including the ability to influence senior collaborators in a matrixed structure, challenge the status quo, and confront difficult issues.
Demonstrable experience in managing data with analytical skills and using external perspective.
Understanding of the local talent landscape, pipeline and labour market and Eye for business.
Strong PC and Microsoft office skills including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
