Description

We are offering a position located in FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts, United States. This job function revolves around Accounting Clerk and Billing services. The role will be customer service oriented with a focus on handling phone calls about bills, analyzing and determining rates on bills, and working with disgruntled customers. This role is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle phone calls about bills and provide clear explanations to customers.

• Analyze and determine rates on bills accurately.

• Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.

• Use Microsoft Excel to perform various administrative tasks.

• Work on bill adjustments and determine how to tier it in separate bills instead of one big bill.

• Communicate effectively with the team to resolve more complex issues.

• Ensure all billing processes align with the set standards and regulations.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records.

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly.

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

• Demonstrated experience in handling weekly payroll tasks.

• Familiarity with various billing processes and systems.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

• Familiarity with standard office equipment and accounting software.

• Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and regulations.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.

• Any relevant accounting certifications would be considered an asset.
