Factory Optimization - Core Industrial Engineering

Factory Optimization - Core Industrial Engineering exists to Evaluate, Establish and Document Standardized plans, processes, and methodologies facilitating the strategic analysis and optimization of capacity and schedule to systematically enable swift and informed decision making.

What you’ll be doing as a Factory Optimization - Core Industrial Engineer

The Senior Core Industrial Engineer’s basic responsibility is to collaboratively identify and implement the required Man, Machine, Material, Method, and Measure resources toexecute business objectives and initiatives regarding but not limited to:

  • S&OP / SIOP / IBP Supply Analysis & COE Coordination and Capacity Analysis

  • Factory Labor Base & Staffing Analysis, Maintenance & Reporting

  • Ad Hoc Performance Reporting, Measurement and Process Development

  • Rate Tooling Capacity Plan Coordination & Process Development

  • Capital Plan Requirements Coordination, Process Development, Approval & Reporting

  • Core Integrated Facility Plan Support & Process Development

  • I.E. Support for SCM Sourcing and Make or Buy Process Coordination

  • Support Labor & Material Proposal, Pricing and Estimating Efforts

  • Financial Analysis - Business Case, Budget Development & Tracking.

  • Continuous Improvement Analysis & Reporting

Additionally, this position will assist in the

  • Establishment, Governance and Maintenance of Industrial Engineering Business Rules, Job Aids, General IE Assumptions & Calculations, IE Policies & Procedures, & IE Specific Strategies.

  • Partner globally with operations, programs, leadership, and other support organizations and may assume project lead roles as required.

  • Act as Kinaxis Rapid Response - CRP SME through Analysis, Data Management, Maintenance, Authoring, and Training.

  • Support the development of presentations, strategy, performance metrics and information in response to operations and executive level leadership-initiated requests.

  • Assist in the development of junior industrial engineers and other support personnel.

The independent and autonomous nature of this position requires an analytical “out-of-the-box” mindset, with a “go-see” attitude and a strong attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize work,strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.

Excellent communicator, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences with the ability to gauge audience and tailor message.

Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks and the ability to work independently and as a team member.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology in Systems, Computer, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • 7 years pertinent Industrial Engineering, Operations Systems Design, Systems Engineering experience, & pertinent manufacturing industry experience.

  • Master of Science (MS) or Master of Business Administration (MBA); considered as additional experience.

  • Team oriented w/ ability to both participate and lead medium-large projects through all phases identifying critical paths, developing, and executing work around and or mitigation plans.

  • Proficient writing reports, conducting meetings and using MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

  • Project Management, LEAN, and Six Sigma experience, training and/or certification

  • Advanced MS Excel, Power Query, Power BI and/or SQL experience

  • SAP Experience.
