BAE Systems Mgr I- Contracts in Fort Worth, Texas

Job Description

This position reports to the Manager II (Senior Manager), Contracts for Mission Systems group. The Manager I Contracts will reside in the Fort Worth, Texas facility and supports businesses in Fort Worth, TX.

This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, legal, regulatory and customer requirements.

This is a supervisory position and the successful candidate will guide work of lower-level contracting employees.

Successful candidate will be accountable for leading a team of employees in the preparation, negotiation, and management of complex proposals and/or contract activities in accordance with company policies, and customer requirements across international and domestic environments with limited guidance or supervision from the Senior Manager. Interpret and communicate business commitments and alternatives to program team and management.

Successful candidate will be accountable for a high number of multifaceted contracts providing products (to include software) and services across a diverse customer base in both domestic and international environments.

Successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining dependable, quality relationships with internal and external customers in support of business objectives.

Position requires an extensive knowledge of government, commercial and international contracting methods for production, software product development as well as a variety of development services in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Additionally; successful candidate will have:

-A thorough understanding of patents and IP processes and the appropriate application of each constructs, respective strengths and weaknesses in relation to specific sales environments.

-A strong understanding of FCPA, ITAR and Incoterms

-Ensure the creation and preservation of contractual arrangements which offer the Company a reasonable probability of accomplishing the established business objectives for any particular contractual arrangement

-Serve as primary point of contact between the company and the customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts and projects including auxiliary agreements such as proprietary information agreements, teaming and other business agreements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree and at least 8 years direct DoD / Agency large system, program office contracting and international contract experience

  • Expert knowledge of FAR/DFAR

  • Ability and willingness to lead junior contracting employees

  • Significant experience with proposal development and government RFP processes

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers

  • Make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations

  • Demonstrate research and presentation skills to senior leadership

  • Significant ability to influence and advise senior corporate management

  • Demonstrate specialized knowledge in an area of contracting such as, but not limited to certain contract types, commercial contracting, strategic alliances and intellectual property

  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Flexibly priced contracts / fixed price contracts experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • NCMA CPCM/CFCM certification

  • Experience and expertise with direct international sales

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $99800 - $169700

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
