Bell Training Academy Simulation Team

Bring your experience to provide technical support to training staff and customers.This role will maintain and/or repair flight training devices (FTDs) in accordance with Regulatory Authority requirements and company standards at the Bell Customer Training Academy.

What you’ll be doing as a Flight Simulation Professional

  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and Flight Training Devices (FTD)

  • Will work with device manufactures on installation of new devices as well as any upgrades to current devices.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, repair or replace most of the FFS and FTD electrical and sub system components and most hydraulic system components with little to no assistance.

  • Install and replace computer components, reroute existing wires or add new wiring circuits, make program changes, and load program into the computers.

  • Prepare and maintain various documents required by regulatory agencies.

  • Conduct engineering tests run on certified flight simulators as required by regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Possess and maintain practical knowledge of the theories and practices of electronic circuits, computer theory, hydraulic or pneumatic control and power systems, and many other areas covering a wide range of system applications.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and federal regulations.

  • General knowledge of Aviation and Simulator Regulations, Microsoft Windows, and Linux

  • Operating Systems

  • Ability to climb ladders and lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds.

  • Flexibility in work schedule. Will be required to work nights and weekends to support

  • customers.

  • Excellent communicator, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.

What you need to be successful

  • We are looking for inquisitive and driven individual with a passion for aviation.

  • Bachelor Degree inrelated field is required

  • 3 years of experience in related technical field such as aviation, or avionics is required
