JPMorgan Chase Business Analysis Manager- Tax Reporting in Fort Worth, Texas

As a Business Analysis Manager- Tax Reporting in the Consumer & Community Bank, you will support tax reporting activities for the Auto, Card and Overdraft lines of business. Your mission will be to manage the transformation of the operations landscape through streamlining processes and increasing efficiency/integration of new and existing technology solutions. Additionally, you and the team will manage and help implement various process improvement initiatives and control enhancements within the tax reporting environment.

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business users and technology partners across multiple levels and lines of business

  • Work with key stakeholders to identify tailored and long-term solutions

  • Define and communicate timelines on deliverables to clients; consistently prioritize and reprioritize to meet deadlines

  • Perform validation exercises to assure data quality by comparing alternative sources of data, as well as comparing data to source documents

  • Communicate results from empirical analysis to stakeholders and research and resolve data issues through systemic investigation

  • Execute accurate tax reporting (and related activities) within required deadlines

  • Establish and maintain proper internal controls in the tax function

  • Uphold responsibility for US domestic tax compliance

  • Partner with tax operations leaders on correction cases or process gaps and regarding tax technology tools, training curriculum, and other matters affect the tax reporting function

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ Years' people management experience

  • Demonstrably strong analytical/solution-oriented skills to be used in evaluation and interpretation of data and well as strong communication skills (able to translate technical data into simple business presentations)

  • Strong priority/time management and multi-tasking skills; Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment to effectively meet deadlines

  • Highest level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency to allow for both independent work as well as collaboration with teams as needed

  • In-depth critical thinking and attention to detail; ability to meet legal/regulatory obligations while remaining in compliance and within pre-established quality thresholds with minimal supervision

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years' experience in Auto Collections, Card Collections, and/or Overdraft Collections

  • Ability to apply creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated situations

  • Familiarity with Internal Revenue Services (IRS) tax reporting including Forms 1099-C and 1099-MISC
