Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a BI Engineer in Hanover, Maryland. The role is in the technology industry and requires someone with strong skills in Power BI, data analytics, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, as well as collaborating with various teams to ensure data quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and translate these requirements into actionable Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Design and develop interactive dashboards to visualize complex datasets effectively.

• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across all reports and dashboards.

• Implement best practices for data visualization to ensure that the dashboards are intuitive, insightful, and easy to understand.

• Optimize the performance and efficiency of Power BI reports and dashboards.

• Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power BI dashboards and reports effectively.

• Stay updated on the latest features and capabilities of Power BI and recommend improvements to existing processes and tools.

• Participate in cross-functional projects and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality solutions. Requirements

• Possess a degree in Computer Sciences or a related field

• Proficient in Microsoft Azure and SQL Server

• Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence Technologies

• Proficiency in Python and SQL languages

• Knowledge of Oracle and Tableau tools

• Previous experience in HR Administration and Workstation Support is a plus

• Proven ability to create interactive dashboards and data analytics reports

• Familiarity with analytics, quality control, and optimization techniques

• Experience in engineering and specification of IT solutions

• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels

• Knowledge of best practices in the field of Business Intelligence

• Strong training and mentoring skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities
