[Job Title: Senior Administrative Assistant *[(33304) *[Join Purdue University Fort Wayne: [The Deans Office in the College of Liberal Arts seeks a full-time on-site *Senior Administrative Assistant. The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide clerical support within the Deans Office and to various academic programs within the College. They will also assist with the colleges marketing and outreach efforts, including our summer youth camps, student recruitment, alumni engagement, and social media. The successful candidate for the position will be someone who enjoys working collaboratively on diverse projects, who can multi-task effectively, and who has an enthusiasm for the liberal arts and our mission as a College. This positions hourly wage is $16.98 - $18.68.   • Provide assistance to College faculty, staff, students, Dean, and visitors.
  • Maintain the Colleges website and social media accounts and spearhead other community outreach efforts.
  • Build/maintain alumni records and enhance alumni outreach.
  • Coordinate with marketing support person in Academic Affairs on communication and marketing projects.
  • Develop content for public communication/relations, including a college newsletter, and manage distribution of newsletter and other communications.
  • Use Banner, COGNOS and myBluePrint to provide answers to questions, to assist Dean with research queries or provide data for special initiatives, including outreach and retention initiatives.
  • Assist with the functions of the College, which includes coordination of college-level events.
  • Provide clerical support to the College advisors and student records staff
  • Provide administrative support to the interdisciplinary programs in the college and assist graduate program directors with recruitment initiatives.
  • Assist with the coordination of our core college requirement, IDIS 10605, by managing the schedule of courses and course evaluations and assisting instructors with special events/projects.
  • Assist with other special projects as assigned.

High School diploma or GED.

2 years of relative experience in social media management and content creation.

Knowledge of or able to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Student Information Systems, including Banner, webpage editing platform (currently, Drupal).

Must be detail oriented and able to implement time management skills effectively.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
