responsibilities:
Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in areas like productivity, waste reduction, and quality control
Develop and implement solutions to improve operational performance, including designing and testing new processes, modifying existing equipment, and implementing lean manufacturing principles
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality control) to troubleshoot production issues, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions
May be involved in the selection and implementation of new equipment or automation systems
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies relevant to manufacturing processes
requirements:
BS Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar)
Minimum 2-3 yrs process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including process analysis, design, and improvement methodologies
Ability to travel up to 20% (typically 1 trip a month, 2-3 days at most)
